Magnetic Wireless Speaker SP1

The connection is handled by the Jieli AC6965E chipset with Bluetooth 5.4, a widespread and stable standard. When first switched on, the speaker enters Bluetooth pairing automatically. It holds a connection up to 10 m in an open space; walls and other obstacles shorten the range. In standby, the SP1 lasts up to 45 hours, so you don't have to switch it off between listening sessions. It includes a built-in microphone that lets you answer or hang up an incoming call at the press of a button; the speaker alerts you to the call with a notification sound. The SP1 does not, however, carry the voice call itself over Bluetooth — the audio stays on the phone. This feature is for controlling the call while listening to music, not for hands-free calling.

The 40 mm driver plays at a maximum output of 3 W and a sound pressure of 85 dB SPL, comparable to a loud conversation in a room. The frequency range of 100 Hz to 20 kHz covers music, podcasts, and spoken word. The SP1 is built for personal listening within a few metres: at your desk, in the kitchen, in a tent, or on a picnic. You control the volume directly from your phone, so the speaker has no volume buttons of its own.

The SP1 measures 58 mm in diameter and 49 mm in height and weighs 88 g, so it fits in a jacket pocket or a backpack side pocket; a lanyard for hanging it is included in the box. The middle frame is anodised aluminium alloy, the top surface is covered with 100% polyester fabric, and the body is ABS + PC; silicone feet dampen vibrations on a tabletop. Note that the SP1 has no water resistance (no IPX rating), so it isn't suited to rain or the poolside.
