The holder sits on an adjustable joint that turns your phone all the way around through 360° and tilts it to the sides. You can keep navigation in portrait, switch video or an incoming call to landscape, and align the screen depending on where the sun is coming into the car. The joint tightens with a nut, so it keeps the set position even while driving and the phone won't tilt down on its own.

The magnetic mount works with phones that have a display diagonal of 4 to 7 inches, from compact models to large phones. Because the phone is held by magnets rather than a mechanical clamp, the size and shape of the phone body matter less than with clamp holders; what counts most is the position of the magnetic ring or the metal plate stuck on the back. Even a large phone in a case fits within the range, provided it has a magnetic ring or metal ring roughly in the middle of the back.

You place an iPhone 12 or newer directly onto the magnet, even without a case, and genuine MagSafe covers work without any extra accessories. For phones without MagSafe or in a regular case, stick the included metal ring in the middle of the back, press it on for 8 to 10 seconds, and start using the holder only after 24 hours so the adhesive fully cures. Never stick the metal ring directly onto an iPhone 12 or newer without a case; it attaches with its own magnets and doesn't need the ring.
