40 Gbps data transfer (USB4.0)

The CB17 is a full USB4.0 cable, not just a backup cable for emergencies. At 13 cm long, it handles 40 Gbps data transfer, charging up to 240 W to the USB PD 3.1 standard, and 8K video over DisplayPort Alt Mode. Most keychain cables charge and transfer data at USB 2.0 speeds at best; the CB17, by contrast, connects a fast external SSD, records video straight to external storage, or moves RAW photos with no drop in speed. If you're looking for a single cable that covers power, data, and video, that's exactly what it's made for.

240W in your pocket: for laptops, tablets and phones

The integrated E-mark chip recognises the power and protocol of both the charger and the connected device and negotiates the highest safe charging level. The CB17 supports USB PD 3.1 with up to 240 W (48 V / 5 A) and is backwards compatible with PD 3.0 and PD 2.0. With the same cable you carry on your keys every day, you can fully charge a MacBook Pro, an iPad, an iPhone, and a Samsung Galaxy phone. The performance is the same as a regular charging cable, just in a format that fits on your keyring.

8K video for a demanding monitor

Thanks to DisplayPort Alt Mode support, the CB17 carries an 8K picture at 60 Hz, that is 7,680 x 4,320 pixels, or 4K at 120 Hz. It's useful for anyone connecting a laptop or tablet to an external monitor, sending a picture from a console, or linking two devices in a studio, all without a separate HDMI or DisplayPort cable. All you need is a single cable and a USB-C port on both ends. Video output requires both connected devices to support DisplayPort Alt Mode.

FPC cable: flexibility built in by design

Rigid USB4.0 cables are strained by sharp bends and their internal shielding can crack. The CB17 uses an FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit) construction, where the conductors are printed onto a flexible film instead of being braided from wires. The cable therefore bends naturally, holds the keychain loop shape without damage, and withstands thousands of bends with no drop in transfer speed. The TPE jacket is pleasant to the touch. The cable has been tested to 10,000 bends without damage.

Carabiner ring and protected connector

The metal carabiner ring keeps the CB17 on your keys or on a backpack loop, so it's always with you. The second USB-C connector tucks into a cover in the cable body, so it doesn't dangle loose, rub against your keys, or collect dust in your pocket. As a result, the cable stands up to everyday carrying and looks neat.

Dimensions and cable length

The total cable length is 13 cm, enough to link two devices lying close together, such as a laptop and a phone on a desk. Folded into its keychain shape, the cable is 75 mm tall, or 90 mm with the ring, so it fits even in a small pocket. At 11 g, it doesn't weigh down your keys and is barely noticeable to carry. The flat profile keeps the cable compact even in a pocket full of keys.
