The strap material contains a phosphorescent substance that absorbs light during the day and, after dark, slowly releases the stored energy as a soft blue glow. It can be charged by daylight or lamp light, and the strength of the glow depends on how much light the strap received beforehand. This means it will not glow without prior exposure to light. The glow gradually fades and will not light up your surroundings, but it helps you find your watch in the dark, for example on your bedside table.

The surface of the strap repels dust, dirt and greasy fingerprints, so grime does not cling to it as easily. On the white matte material, dirt and greasy marks would otherwise be visible at first glance. Anything that does stick to the surface can simply be wiped off, so the strap needs no special care. This pays off above all in everyday wear, when the strap comes into contact with your hands, clothing or the desk while you work at a computer.

The buckle is made of aluminium alloy, which is lightweight and resists corrosion, so it holds up even to sweat during sports. The pin-and-tuck closure is based on a classic watch buckle: the pin goes into one of the ten holes in the longer piece, whose free end is then tucked through the loop on the shorter piece. The ten holes let you adjust the fit to your wrist, and the pin holds the strap at the set length. Secured in the loop, the free end does not stick out, so it is less likely to catch on a sleeve or the edge of a desk.
